More Bookings

Craig had a nice time meeting Kay and Sinc last week to show them our albums. Big thanks to them for deciding to go with McBeth Photography for their wedding next September. Looking forward to their big day and before that their pre-wedding shoot in the summer.

Nice to see the bookings building up for next year and with two more client meetings over the next couple of weeks plus two wedding fairs in the near future, we may end up with next seasons calendar full before this one really ends.

New site is up and running

Now then, after a period of testing the new McBeth Photography website is open for business. We hope this now blog style site will allow for greater interactivity with our clients and prospective clients as well as with all our friends and contacts in related businesses. We are introducing lots of interesting new features in the near future and aim to make the site more than just a photography one. This starts very soon when we have our first supplier interview. We have managed to get the extremely talented Uzma Ali to let us pick her brains regarding bridal make-up and the make-up business in general. I’m sure that any brides-to-be reading her interview will find it most interesting and may even pick up some tips.

More Makeup By Uzma

Had our second shoot with Uzma yesterday. It was a full day and I was exhaused at the end of it but it was really enjoyable. My little girl Esme was even around for a spell and she was really captivated by all the beautiful outfits which Uzma had brought with her for Emii to wear.

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

Had the pleasure today of being let loose around the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh to capture some promotional images for their conferencing facilities. It really is a beautiful building. Some of the rooms have to be seen to be believed. Fantastically ornate ceilings, gothic pillars and priceless paintings and antiques make it a truly special place.

The RCPE is a great venue for weddings and they’re holding a wedding fair on Sunday 27th September. We’ll have a stand there, so come along for a chat and to see our album range if you’re getting married.

Lifestyle shoot at Roslyn Glen

It’s days like today which make me really glad to be a photographer. The weather over the last few days has been pretty poor to say the least but today the clouds broke and the sun shone for my shoot with little Rebecca. This lovely wee lady had a great time playing in the wildflowers while I kept having to think of new way to keep a four year old’s interest in having her photo taken. She told me about cornflowers and I told her about poppies. What made it extra special was my wife Jess and little Esme tagged along and together with Rebecca and her mum Clare we enjoyed a lovely picnic prior to the shoot. Great day seems to have been had by all. Plus, we managed to get some lovely shots of little Rebecca.
