The RCPE (Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh)
I think I have covered more weddings at the RCPE (Royal College of Physicians) than any other venue over the last ten years.
It’s a city center venue which not everyone is aware of but one which, once you visit it, I’m certain will be near the of your list of favourites.
Being on Queen Street, it’s far enough from the main shopping streets to avoid the bulk of the crowds but still withing easy walking distance. It overlooks the wonderful Queen Street Gardens which gives couples a lovely option for photographs and the chance to get away from it all for a few minutes.
Although, from the outside, the RCPE looks quite understated, once you enter you cannot fail to be impressed by it’s splendour. The Grand Staircase gives a stunning and impressive first impression as you enter. The light and airy Cullen Suite providins stunning views over Queen Street Gardens and across to the Firth of Forth. Beautifully decorated ceilings and original features make it a superb place to toast your special day.
The Great Hall with it’s grand pillars, rich crimson walls and impressive statues make it a magnificent room with a lavish feel. It’s perfect for a wedding breakfast or to dance and celebrate the night away.
The New Library is a truly awe inspiring Georgian treasure. Antique book cases and alcoves provide the room with atmosphere and elegance. The tradition and atmosphere of the room make it an obvious choice for your ceremony. Lined with historical books, overlooking balconies and grand marble fireplaces at either end, the shape naturally lends itself to an aisle to really make an entrance.
The Royal College of Physicians is a prestigious place to host your dream wedding and celebrate in style.
