The plan was for Nicky and Donald to tie the knot in the garden of their home at Woodend Farm. It was pretty windy and peeing rain though, so the decision was made at the last minute to move to the barn, and it was perfect. The fact that guests were plied with drink before the ceremony obviously helped ( all weddings should start this way) but everyone was cosy.

After the ceremony it was a short walk to the huge marquee for speeches and my first ever juggling groom.

As is usually the case, in the evening the clouds parted and we were all treated to a huge, stunning Borders sunset.

This wedding epitomises what I am all about. I see my job as capturing the fun and love of the day and recording the beauty created by all the hard work which couples put into the planning. But mainly it’s about showing what a f*****g epic party it was.
