Wedderburn Castle & Barns.
From a photographers point of view, everything about working at Wedderburn is just great. Stunning views and interesting backdrops outside and beautifully opulent and surprisingly light spaces inside. The castle as the backdrop is a no-brainer and the tree lined avenue lends itself wonderfully to couples shots whether classically romantic or fun and relaxed. Morning preparation images are a breeze either in the large, grand rooms of the castle or in the cottages within the grounds.
The Ballroom is a stunning room in which to shoot a wedding ceremony and is just flooded with light while the barns are rustic and quirky. Excellent outside space provides plenty or room for guests to mingle and for your photographer to capture the fun of your day in natural light. When the sun gets too strong there are plenty of spots to find shade and I do love the stone walls and coloured doors for a contemporary portrait.
The last thing (and from a photographers point of view one of the most important) that makes Wedderburn one of my favorite venues (apart from being only 30 minutes from home) is Cat and her team. I know from speaking to clients that they appreciate the relaxed, helpful and discreet way that Cat interacts with them. Nothing is too much trouble. It’s the same from my point of view. At Wedderburn they appreciate that their clients have probably paid a large amount of money for their photographer. When covering a wedding there I feel like I’m working with Cat and her team and they go out of their way to assist. Makes my job pretty easy really.
